About The Position

L3Harris’ Communications and Spectrum Dominance segment is seeking an Engineering Technician D/E for its Salt Lake City, Utah facility. The position performs test and debug operations on a variety of line replaceable units (LRUs), circuit card assemblies (CCAs), and components, testing and debugging products for delivery or repair. The role reports directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor and works under limited supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 8 years of prior relevant experience; or an associate degree with at least 4 years of prior related experience.
• Ability to read and follow schematics to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues with L3Harris products and test support equipment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to support overtime, including nights, weekends, and extended hours, as needed to meet schedule requirements and business needs.
• Experience with prototype and first-time build processes.
• Strong electromechanical equipment maintenance experience.
• Experience with SAP, SAPME, and TeamCenter enterprise resource planning and lifecycle management software.
• More than 4 years of experience with RF and digital signals.
• More than 4 years of experience with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and power meters.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated electronic testing in a production environment.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and fault isolation in a production environment.
• Assist Test Engineering with trends, root causes, and corrective actions.
• Operate related test equipment, including signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
• Participate in process improvement activities in test and manufacturing.
• Follow L3Harris policies and procedures, including equipment calibration, ESD, FOD, and general housekeeping.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Management.
