About The Position

L3Harris’ Communications and Spectrum Dominance segment is seeking an Engineering Technician D/E for its Salt Lake City, Utah facility. The position performs testing and debugging on line replaceable units (LRUs), circuit card assemblies (CCAs), and components, supporting delivery or repair of L3 products. The role reports directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor and works under limited supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 8 years of relevant experience; or a post-secondary/associate degree and at least 4 years of related experience.
• Ability to read and follow schematics to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues with L3Harris products and test support equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Availability to support overtime, including nights, weekends, and extended hours, as needed to meet schedule and business requirements.
• Experience with prototype and first-time build processes.
• Strong electro-mechanical equipment maintenance experience.
• Experience with SAP, SAPME, and TeamCenter enterprise resource planning and lifecycle management software.
• More than 4 years of experience with RF and digital signals.
• More than 4 years of experience with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and power meters.
• Ability to lift up to 32 pounds independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated electronic testing in a production environment.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and fault isolation in a production environment.
• Assist Test Engineering with trend analysis, root causes, and corrective actions.
• Operate related test equipment, including signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
• Participate in process improvement activities in test and manufacturing.
• Follow L3Harris policies and procedures, including equipment calibration, ESD, FOD, and general housekeeping.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Management.
