About The Position

This role provides operational assembly-floor support on integrated aerospace hardware within a cleanroom environment. The technician will execute hardware cleanliness verification techniques, perform visual inspections, work in an analytical lab, and conduct cleanroom certifications. Responsibilities also include precision cleaning duties, interfacing with cross-functional teams, contributing to process development and investigations, assisting with thermal vacuum bakeout tasks, and potentially working overtime or traveling to customer sites.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
  • Professional experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to obtain required government security clearance upon being hired

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with organic solvents
  • Familiar with cleanroom certification standards FED-STD-209 and ISO 14644
  • Familiar with cleanroom certification tools including particle counters, anemometers, temperature, and humidity instruments
  • Familiar with vacuum chamber operations, mechanical functions and controls
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication, technical writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to analyze information to evaluate and explore root causes to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • LSS Certification, white belt or higher

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational assembly-floor support on integrated aerospace hardware
  • Execute hardware cleanliness verification techniques; including ASTM and ISO standards, IEST recommended practices and internal procedures
  • Execute visual inspections with various lighting techniques
  • Work in analytical lab environment; including working with glassware, soft vacuum ovens, microscopes and computers
  • Perform cleanroom certifications using tools; including particle counters, anemometers, temperature and humidity instruments
  • Perform Precision Cleaning duties such as hand detailing, pressure spray, ultrasonic, steam, UV cleaning in a cleanroom environment
  • Interface with cross functional teams, including assembly technicians, engineers, customers and management members
  • Contribute to creation and execution of process development tests and RCCA investigations
  • Assist with thermal vacuum bakeout tasks and chamber maintenance/repair
  • Ability to work overtime, with potential weekend coverage
  • Ability to travel to customer sites at times to provide program support
