Engineering Tech, Labeling, and Serialization
About The Position
The Labeling and Serialization Engineering Tech, Excellerate collaborates with Excellerate site teams, including engineering, procurement, and quality. The role ensures equipment labels are created, sourced, and delivered to manufacturing teams in a timely manner to avoid disrupting production. The employee serves as the primary technical authority for equipment labeling and maintains the organization and functionality of the labeling station. This hands-on role bridges engineering and manufacturing so production teams receive correctly kitted label sets. The position typically works between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a sufficient schedule to meet role expectations. Travel is 0–10%.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in engineering, working toward a bachelor’s degree in engineering, or comparable work experience.
- 0–3 years of experience in engineering or a related field.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to production changes.
- Accurate record-keeping skills.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation.

Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Adapt to unforeseen production changes.
- Maintain an accurate record-keeping system.
- Create self-adhesive labels using a Brady printer or similar equipment.
- Use the ERP system and standard forms to order external labels.
- Manage labeling-station inventory.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with engineering about changes to bills of materials, specifications, and related items.
- Coordinate with procurement to place orders and communicate material defects.
- Coordinate with production when kitting and organizing labels.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation.
- Optimize process flow to improve labeling efficiency.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
