About The Position
This is a multi-level posting and will be filled at the appropriate level based on experience and education. The engineering technician - electric provides cost estimating, design, work instructions, and coordination of extensions or modifications of electric distribution facilities. The engineering technician - electric applies established engineering standards and practices for routine projects in the following areas: determining pipe, cable, and equipment sizes due to customer and system loads; project design alternatives and their associated costs; project timing and coordination; procurement of materials and field inspection; and all other assigned duties.

- Experience and education appropriate for the level of Engineering Tech 1/2/Sr - Electric.
Responsibilities
- Provides cost estimating, design, work instructions, and coordination of extensions or modifications of electric distribution facilities.
- Applies established engineering standards and practices for routine projects.
- Determines pipe, cable, and equipment sizes due to customer and system loads.
- Evaluates project design alternatives and their associated costs.
- Manages project timing and coordination.
- Oversees procurement of materials and field inspection.
- Performs all other assigned duties.
