Ocado Group is a UK-based company that operates as one of the world's largest dedicated online grocery retailers, including Ocado.com. They provide services globally through their innovative advanced robotics technology, the Ocado Smart Platform ("OSP"), which powers highly automated Customer Fulfillment Centers (CFCs). These CFCs, along with proprietary software, run a world-class online grocery business that automates product picking for online delivery, partnering with companies like Kroger. The Engineering Team Manager will report directly to the Engineering Operations Manager, with a dotted line to the Senior Engineering Operations Manager. This role involves managing engineering shift activities for one of the four shifts in a 24/7 operation, located at a Customer Fulfillment Center. The manager will work closely with Inbound, Outbound, and other support teams to optimize the availability and performance of the facility and its MHE automation. The primary focus is to achieve the safest working environment and most efficient operation, balancing the lowest cost with the highest uptime. The initial 6 to 9 weeks will involve training, likely requiring some travel to another site in the US. During the facility's initial startup, daily responsibilities may differ to support commissioning needs, with the outlined responsibilities becoming standard once the facility is fully commissioned.
