About The Position

Oakland County is seeking an Engineering Systems Coordinator to join their team. This position is responsible for planning and providing engineering support and administrative functions. Employees in this role will handle a variety of engineering, public relations, and computer support duties, collaborating with consulting engineers, developers, regulatory agencies, department staff, and the public. The role requires the use of current Countywide and/or department-specific software. Employees must be available for operational problems, equipment emergencies, widespread storms, power outages, and other emergencies after normal working hours, weekends, and holidays. On-Call duties may also be assigned.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Education Development (GED) test.
  • Four (4) years of full-time work experience performing trending analysis for a Retention Treatment Basin.
  • One (1) year of coursework from an accredited college or university may substitute for one (1) year of the above experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and provide engineering support and administrative functions.
  • Respond to a variety of engineering, public relations, and/or computer support duties.
  • Collaborate with consulting engineers, developers, regulatory agencies, department staff, and/or the public.
  • Utilize current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.
  • Be available for operational problems, equipment emergencies, widespread storms, power outages and other operations and maintenance emergencies as deemed necessary by management after normal working hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform On-Call duties as required by management.
