About The Position

MDA Space is seeking motivated and talented students for an Antenna Engineering internship at their Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue office. This 4 or 8-month internship, starting in September 2026, offers the opportunity to work on tasks similar to a new graduate, gaining valuable real-world experience in the space industry. Interns will develop a strong understanding of MDA's operations, commitment to safety, and build relationships within the team. This paid internship is an excellent launchpad for a career in the new space economy.

Requirements

Completed third year of bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
Demonstrated academic performance GPA: (3.2/4.0 minimum)
Dynamic

Enjoy a challenge and have the ability to work well under pressure
Good verbal and written communication skills ideally both in English and French (Contact with customers outside Quebec)
Good knowledge of electromagnetism
Excellent interpersonal and/or customer service skills

Responsibilities

Following training in antenna design methods and software (HFSS, FEKO, TICRA GRASP and POS), join the space antenna design team on an ongoing project or as part of the bid team.
Collaborate in the design and optimization of space antenna performance within deadlines and budgets, under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Perform sensitivity and degradation analyses of antenna on-orbit performance.
Attend team discussions for problem-solving and project status meetings.
Participate in the preparation of antenna performance reports and presentations to various customers.
