About The Position

MDA Space is seeking a motivated and talented Engineering Student for its RF & Power & Component engineering department at the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue office. This is a 4-month mandate, with a possibility of extending to 8 months, starting in September 2026. The student's work scope will be similar to that of a new graduate, with tasks assigned based on their level of schooling and experience. The successful candidate will participate in the development of RF and Power units for various MDA programs.

Requirements

  • Five semesters of bachelor's degree in electrical engineering completed before the start of the internship.
  • Interest and knowledge of radio frequency circuit design and RF components.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Dynamic.
  • Desire to learn.
  • Related work or extracurricular experiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Sense of initiative.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint software.
  • Demonstrated academic performance (good general average [above 3.30).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills ideally both in English and French (Contact with customers outside Quebec).

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the production of equipment used in communication systems for communication satellites.
  • Participate in the design and development cycle of radio frequency (RF) equipment and associated test equipment within a multifunctional team.
  • Support integration and testing on flight prototypes.
  • Work on different sections of the same project, or on different programs.
  • Attend project planning and progress team meetings.
