We’re on the hunt for a motivated and talented Engineering Student in our Processes and Automation department at our Montreal office. This is a 4 or 8 months assignation starting in September 2026. Overall, the successful candidate would be treated similar to a new graduate joining our company, where tasks will be assigned relative to the level of schooling and experience achieved to date.
Requirements
- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in automation engineering, mechanical or electrical engineering or computer science with two (2) years completed
- Proven technical skills in SQL, Python and VBA
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with stakeholders
- Motivation and ability to think for oneself, without supervision
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Strong interest in innovation and new technologies
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Knowledge of MES systems
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of AI
- Experience in the aerospace environment
- Experience in a high volume production environment
- Knowledge of UR robots
Responsibilities
- Design, commissioning, improvement and maintenance of automated equipment
- Choice and integration of systems involving computer, mechanical, electronic, robotics and computer vision technologies
- Assessment of the impact of the introduction of automated systems and equipment on costs, maintenance, staff training, productivity, work organization
- Analyze and validate existing processes, while participating in the design, installation and deployment of new solutions
- Develop satellite programs and databases to link our ERP/MES system with production (industry 4.0 mentality)
