About The Position

EP² provides power management systems for commercial and utility industries, supporting power generation, transmission, and distribution. The Engineering Specialist supports project delivery through drawing design and review, project oversight, manufacturing support, and technical assistance to customers and internal functional departments. The position is located in Des Moines, Iowa, and reports to the Engineering Specialist Supervisor. The role uses engineering and project management techniques throughout the lifespan of projects. It includes creating and reviewing drawing packages, providing technical expertise, and carrying out tasks that help ensure projects are delivered to customers on time and within budget. The Engineering Specialist works as part of a team alongside other specialists, support staff, and engineering personnel.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency with Windows-based computers, spreadsheets, and other Microsoft Office applications.
Proficiency with CAD programs such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.
Ability to work independently and self-motivate.
Attention to detail and focus on quality.
Ability to learn new skills and work in a team setting.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Create drawing packages using technical skills and engineering processes.
