About The Position

EP² provides power management systems for commercial and utility industries spanning power generation, transmission, and distribution. The Engineering Specialist supports the team building these products and contributes to company growth. Located in Des Moines, Iowa, the role reports to the Engineering Specialist Supervisor. The position applies engineering and project management techniques throughout project lifecycles, including drawing design and review, project oversight, manufacturing support, and technical service to customers and internal functional departments. The specialist develops drawing packages, checks drawings against specifications and design requirements, provides engineering, project management, and fabrication support, and helps deliver projects on time and on budget in collaboration with other specialists, support staff, and engineering teams.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with Windows-based computers, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office applications.
Proficiency with CAD programs such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
Attention to detail and focus on quality.
Ability to learn new skills and work in a team setting.
Problem-solving and organizational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Fabricate drawing packages using technical skills and engineering processes.
