About The Position

Join IS&T's Services Technology team to build IT systems for Apple TV Studio & Production and Music operations. Employee Experience and Productivity (EEP), part of IS&T, delivers communication and productivity technology and services across Apple, leads user experience design and research, and manages systems behind Apple’s original content studios. The Senior Engineering Project Manager will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Apple enterprise web applications, managing multiple major projects from inception through delivery in alignment with strategic goals and technical standards. The role includes leading and mentoring contractor EPMs and project teams, defining and improving Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, and using generative AI tools to accelerate documentation and optimize workflows. The position works closely with Functional, Design, Product, and Business stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for engineering teams, and vice versa. Responsibilities span risk identification and mitigation, removing team impediments, and driving quality through requirements gathering, technical design reviews, and testing. Success requires building trusted relationships and influencing across a complex cross-functional organization.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
At least 4 years of experience as an Engineering Project Manager delivering complex, cross-functional projects.
At least 4 years of experience successfully delivering Agile projects.
At least 4 years working in complex, highly integrated, cross-functional environments.
Hands-on experience with generative AI technologies.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of containerization concepts such as Kubernetes and Docker, and orchestration.
Experience with DevOps process automation tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and testing frameworks.
Experience working with distributed, global, and offshore teams.
Experience with observability and monitoring systems such as Dynatrace or Datadog.
Strong technical understanding of modern architectural patterns, including microservices, asynchronous communication, caching strategies, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Proficiency working with SQL or NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with full-stack development concepts, including backend technologies such as Java or Node.js and frontend frameworks such as React.js.
Comfort with rapid development cycles and tight schedules.
High ownership, self-sufficient, hands-on leadership and innovative, creative thinking.
Ability to present confidently and clearly to senior leadership.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, including building trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities
