Every road, bridge, and trail across the national parks, forests, and tribal lands of the Pacific Northwest and Alaska depends on careful project administration behind the scenes. As an Engineering Operations Technician I, you'll be part of the team that keeps federal construction projects on track, organized, and accountable to the public they serve. This role supports the Western Federal Lands Highway Division (WFLHD), the Federal Highway Administration office responsible for transportation projects across Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and a portion of Wyoming. WFLHD partners with agencies like the National Park Service, USDA Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Indian Affairs, and Bureau of Land Management to deliver road and bridge access on federal and tribal lands, including critical, low-volume routes that connect rural and Native American communities. You'll work directly with WFLHD's Construction, Acquisitions, and Finance teams to support the administrative backbone of that work.
