Engineering Manager

Fervo EnergyHouston, TX

About The Position

Geothermal energy currently represents a small fraction of the global electricity mix. While the resource is abundant, the primary challenge lies in developing cost-effective and repeatable methods for constructing geothermal power plants. Fervo is addressing this by building commercial-scale enhanced geothermal systems, shifting from first-of-a-kind projects to product-focused development. The current opportunity involves aggressive deployment to meet the growing demand for geothermal energy, positioning it as a key component of the global energy supply. The turboexpander-generator is critical to Fervo's power generation process. This role is for an Engineering Manager to oversee this essential component. The focus is not just on optimizing individual turbine packages, but on managing the entire conversion scope across a fleet, driving cost reductions in each iteration, and building a team capable of collaborating with leading OEMs while addressing any gaps. This position offers the chance to significantly influence the output of Fervo's geothermal plants for the next decade.
