StubHub is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its Core Platform — Storage & Streaming team. The manager will lead and grow a team responsible for data infrastructure that supports P0 workflows across StubHub, building platform products used daily by hundreds of engineers. The team’s three business-critical domains are streaming and messaging; self-service nonrelational storage products; and relational databases and their supporting tooling and operations. The streaming platform processes 10–30 billion events per day for approximately 100 service teams. The team is beginning a major migration from Azure services such as EventHub and ServiceBus to a modern Kafka-compatible platform on AWS, with schema enforcement, self-service SDKs, and direct streaming and querying of event data from S3. The nonrelational storage domain provides paved paths for S3, DynamoDB, Redis, MemoryDB, and ElasticSearch. The relational data domain includes SQL Server and PostgreSQL, DB CI/CD, AI-enabled database access, SOX access controls, and database performance support. The manager will set and execute a multi-year roadmap across these domains, own P0 compliance obligations including SOX and GDPR/CCPA, and partner with approximately 100 consuming teams and stakeholders in Legal, Compliance, Security & Data Governance, Finance, and Engineering. The position is hybrid, with three days in the office and two days remote, in New York, NY.
