About The Position

ReloMetrics is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead their Core and Growth verticals within the Relo Metrics Engineering division. This role requires a people leader and technical leader to manage the day-to-day operations of two critical teams: the Core Team (platform, background analysis, data annotation) and the Growth Team (client-facing initiatives, expansion). The position reports to the VP of Engineering and is crucial for the success of the engineering organization. The role involves managing direct reports, ensuring seamless delivery, fostering professional growth, and contributing to technical strategy and execution.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field
  • 1–2+ years of experience managing a technology team, either as a Technical Lead or Engineering Manager
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in Software Engineering or AI/ML
  • Strong knowledge of Python
  • Experience with scalable, cloud-based environments (AWS ecosystem preferred)
  • Exceptional communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical team members
  • A critical thinker who can break down complex problems and navigate ambiguity
  • Ideally based in the Dallas, TX area; however, we are also open to candidates in Los Angeles, CA

  • Familiarity with Computer Vision (CV), Data Analysis, or General Platform scaling

Responsibilities

  • Manage a total of 8 direct reports across the Core and Growth teams.
  • Take full ownership of day-to-day operations, support issue resolution, performance management, and deliverable tracking.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and provide mentorship for Individual Contributors (ICs) to excel.
  • Lead the evolution of the hiring process and onboarding guides.
  • Collaborate with Product teams to prioritize, technically design, and scope projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance technical processes and boost project efficiency.
  • Stay current with state-of-the-art technology and contribute to the codebase when necessary.
  • Proactively identify and remove technical or administrative blockers to ensure team productivity.
  • Develop on existing AI workflow for Engineering Team and push for complete adoption.
  • Work closely with the Optimization team (CV & Data Analysis) and other stakeholders to brainstorm innovative solutions and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain the ability to connect engineering milestones to monetary and revenue outcomes.
