About The Position

At Advance CNC Machining, we are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a team of engineers in a hands-on manufacturing environment. This role involves strategic planning, team development, and optimizing engineering workflows to meet increasing demand. The ideal candidate will embody our company culture of accountability and humility, driving efficiency, quality, and cost savings.

Requirements

• 10+ years of combined experience in design engineering
• Deep understanding of machining and related manufacturing processes
• Experience leading and mentoring direct reports
• Strong analytical skills for diagnosing design or production challenges
• A proactive, collaborative approach with excellent communication skills including the ability to hold others accountable
• Ability to guide engineers through concept development, 3D modeling, prints, tolerances, and manufacturability reviews
• A mindset focused on efficiency, quality improvement, and cost savings
• Demonstrated SolidWorks experience and fluency

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing, coaching, and developing a high-performing team of mechanical engineers
• Leading performance management, including goal setting, feedback, and professional growth planning
• Optimizing engineering workflows to increase throughput, reduce waste, and streamline handoffs with production teams
• Troubleshooting design issues with an analytical, solutions-oriented approach
• Owning the Engineering group’s performance indicators and budget
