About The Position
A growing precision manufacturing company is seeking a CNC Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead CNC programming and manufacturing engineering in a high-mix, precision machining environment. This is a leadership role that combines hands-on technical expertise with process improvement and team development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of CNC programming/manufacturing engineering experience
- 3+ years of leadership experience in precision machining or contract manufacturing
- Strong CAD/CAM experience (Mastercam, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, process improvement, and CNC machining best practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor CNC programmers and manufacturing engineers
- Oversee CNC programming, tooling, fixture design, and setup documentation
- Support production by troubleshooting machining and programming issues
- Standardize engineering processes and improve efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce setup time, scrap, and downtime
- Partner with production, quality, planning, and estimating teams on new and existing projects
