About The Position

Astemo is a leading manufacturer of vehicle engine management systems and transmission control systems with facilities around the globe, employing approximately 90,000 employees. The Astemo facility in Kentucky manufactures automotive electronic control units for both under hood and in cabin applications, incorporating a highly advanced manufacturing process utilizing robotics handling and fully automated assembly and test systems. This position is responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians in the successful launch of new production lines, launch of individual machines, and modification of existing production lines for new products. Responsibilities also include documentation associated with new equipment, quoting new business, and maintaining a long-term equipment replacement plan for aging processes. Requirements

  • Project management experience
  • Experience with specifying requirements for production equipment.
  • Experience with Solidworks or other 3D modeling software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a good attitude.
  • Unmatched communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple functions and deadlines.
  • Ability to make quick, accurate, data driven decisions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word)
  • Ability and willingness to train other associates.
  • Ability to model and willingness to support the corporate culture in an ethical manor
  • 4-year degree in manufacturing, electrical, or mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Experience with continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with FMEA and other production control documentation.
  • Experience with six sigma/lean

Responsibilities
