The Engineering Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of site asset maintenance strategy, asset health and reliability, capital budget preparation and execution, process modifications and upgrades, infrastructure upgrades, automation network maintenance and reliability, and site utility operations. This role involves managing Capital Assets, Process Safety, Utility Systems, Automation, and Strategic Reliability Based Maintenance. The manager will prepare and implement asset capital plans for replacement, cost reduction, expansion, and process/safety upgrades. They will identify, justify, and implement capital projects in Operations and SHE areas, ensuring timely, on-budget, and compliant completion. A key aspect is ensuring projects utilize a “Design for Reliability” philosophy, focusing on safety, maintainability, operability, and quality. The role also includes maintaining critical utilities (steam, compressed air, chill water, cooling tower water, effluent systems) at 100% uptime and ensuring adequate, reliable infrastructure. Asset reliability for rotating equipment in manufacturing areas is crucial, requiring the development of maintenance strategies including RCM analysis, FMEA analysis, and PM/PdM requirements.
