About The Position

As an Engineering Manager at Regard, you will manage, lead, and grow squads of Software Engineers. You will play a core role, collaborating across engineering and product to lead the development of key features within our provider-facing product. You will be responsible for setting strategic vision, prioritization decisions, technical execution, and team leadership. You’ll play a key role in exploring and integrating generative AI to unlock new capabilities and elevate the user experience across our platform. This role will report directly to our CTO. About Regard Our mission is to bring world-class healthcare to everyone. Regard is an AI-powered Proactive Documentation platform that advances how care is delivered by reviewing all patient data in the EHR to recommend diagnoses and surface clinical evidence. Regard drafts a note even before the physician sees the patient, enabling an approach that gets documentation right at the point of care - we call it Proactive Documentation. Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience (primarily Frontend or Full-stack), and 2+ years spent leading teams of 5 or more developers
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Python and/or Typescript
  • Experience with AI coding tools and AI agents
  • Proficiency with cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and observability tools (e.g., GitHub/GitLab, ArgoCD, Datadog, Sentry)
  • Experience working in a dynamic startup and/or high-growth environments

  • Experience working in enterprise SaaS environment, or health tech

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support squads of AI-empowered engineers through coaching, feedback, and career development
  • Lead development and delivery of product features, collaborating closely with product and design partners to drive user satisfaction and product adoption
  • Drive technical decisions and contribute to system design, balancing long-term scalability with near-term delivery
  • Support the team in maintaining production reliability and performance, including participation in on-call rotations
  • Contribute to the codebase when needed to unblock the team or gain hands-on understanding of technical challenges
  • Drive execution of complex technical projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product, and clinical subject matter experts to ensure smooth coordination and communication
