Engineering Manager, Growth Engineering

Chime Financial, IncSan Francisco, CA

About The Position

Growth Engineering builds the product surfaces and systems that turn that mission into measurable outcomes for members. The Late Stage Experience team focuses on members who are already part of Chime. People who've chosen us, use us regularly, and have built trust with us over time. Our job is to help them get more out of Chime, and to deepen the relationship in ways that benefit both the member and the business. It's a different kind of growth problem. Most growth work is about acquiring or activating new users. This team works further down the journey, where the dynamics are subtler, the signals are richer, and the playbook is still being written. You'll lead a team of engineers shaping how that work gets done.

  • Strong track record of partnering with Product, Design, and Data to drive data-informed decisions

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of engineers, fostering a high-performing and inclusive culture
  • Partner cross-functionally to define and execute on growth strategies for the team's focus area
  • Drive experimentation strategy and execution by building the systems and habits to test, learn, and iterate quickly
  • Make the calls on speed vs. durability in a fast-paced, experiment-driven environment
  • Contribute to technical direction and architecture decisions that support scalable growth
  • Help shape the roadmap and long-term vision for Growth Engineering, with potential to expand scope over time
