CrowdStrike•Redmond, WA
•$140,000 - $215,000•Hybrid

About The Position

CrowdStrike is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a team developing user-mode security architecture for the Windows endpoint sensor. The sensor operates at the intersection of operating-system internals, performance, and security, processing thousands of events per second while providing endpoint visibility, prevention, and telemetry to the Falcon cloud. Reliability, resource footprint, safe deployment, and rigorous testing are central to the work. The manager owns major team components and development projects, including roadmap and delivery from design through release. The role involves guiding architecture and implementation of core features spanning file systems, processes, memory, and networking, including components shared across Windows, macOS, and Linux. The manager is also responsible for engineering standards, collaboration across teams, and developing engineers.

  • Track record of shipping systems-level software, such as agents, kernels, drivers, or OS components, at scale.
  • Hands-on systems programming experience and solid OS internals knowledge; Windows experience is preferred, while deep macOS or Linux experience is welcome.
  • Ability to review code and reason about memory management, concurrency, and performance.
  • Experience with C/C++; other low-level languages such as Rust are valuable.

  • Collaborate with peer sensor teams across the company and present progress at the conclusion of each deliverable.
  • Set engineering quality standards through design reviews, code reviews, testing strategy, performance work, and safe rollout.
  • Coach engineers through career growth, feedback, and performance conversations.
  • Build a culture of ownership and independence.
  • Assist with architecting solutions and support implementation of core features.
