Twin Health
•$200,000 - $220,000•Remote

About The Position

Twin Health is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its Copilot team, which builds an AI-powered platform for clinical operations. Copilot drafts responses, routes member messages, and flags issues so care teams can spend less time on administrative work and more time with members. This is a hands-on management role responsible for the team, delivery, and outcomes. The manager stays close to code and architecture to guide technical decisions while building a team that delivers reliable AI-powered products in a regulated healthcare environment. The role partners with Product, Clinical Operations, the AI Platform team, and other engineering teams to guide priorities, coordinate integrations, and deliver high-impact products. The position is a remote opportunity based in the U.S. Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years directly managing engineers through hiring, performance management, and career development.
  • Track record leading a team through end-to-end delivery of customer-facing products, from definition through launch, measurement, and iteration.
  • Strong hands-on backend foundation in microservices, API design, SQL databases, and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience architecting and operating production systems at scale, including observability, incident management, and performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development workflows.
  • Experience partnering with Product, Clinical Operations, and business stakeholders, including roadmap governance and prioritization in a high-demand environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical risks to non-technical audiences.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, growth-stage environment where priorities shift.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.; Twin Health is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa.

  • Own Copilot delivery end to end, including planning, sequencing, dependencies, and production launches.
  • Partner with Product and Clinical Operations to set priorities, make tradeoffs, and guide the roadmap using business impact data and platform health metrics.
  • Set and enforce engineering standards for scalable architecture, design reviews, automated testing, and production observability.
  • Promote AI-assisted engineering practices to improve team impact, velocity, and quality.
  • Guide architecture and design decisions while empowering engineers to own decisions.
  • Coordinate shared infrastructure and integrations with the AI Platform team and other engineering teams.
  • Communicate status, risks, and tradeoffs to engineering, product, clinical, and executive audiences.
