Reporting to the site director, you will be on-site determining and directing all our plant engineering and maintenance services for our South Hackensack, NJ manufacturing facility. Main impact of this role will be to implement necessary changes to support manufacturing organizational changes and strategies, and to implement capital improvements for building utility, manufacturing processes and associated equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (or MS) degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years experience in Manufacturing and Plant Engineering & Maintenance
  • 5+ years of leadership, and project management experience
  • Have lean manufacturing experience, TPM, Six Sigma, continuous improvement processes/methodologies
  • SAP

Responsibilities

  • Achieve Operational Efficiency: Direct internal maintenance activities including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and spare parts management with the goal of safely achieving required manufacturing equipment efficiencies.
  • Manage (develop and implement) procedures and equipment changes for maintenance effectiveness, predictive maintenance programs, EHS compliance, and building / other code compliance.
  • Ensure Site Productivity: Direct all facilities services to provide appropriate support to operations groups.
  • Provide oversight for project engineering related to facility capital projects. This includes evaluating needs and assessing options.
  • It also involves defining costs and justifications, preparing credit requests and project plans.
  • Finally, it includes implementing projects to improve the manufacturing environment, focusing on costs, efficiencies, yields, and quality.
  • Manage third-party service contracts by developing requirements, qualifying vendors, and providing service monitoring / improvements.
  • Use/Develop the Very Best of You: Manage multi-accomplished teams (engineering /maintenance) enhancing a results-oriented, and service-minded culture in a food and beverage production environment.
  • Hone your experience managing multi million dollar manufacturing projects, operating expense and capital budgeting, and work order / preventative maintenance programs.
