The Maintenance & Engineering Manager will effectively manage the engineering, process engineering, and maintenance functions at the facility. This includes the development, implementation, and improvement of preventative maintenance for equipment, and leading a department of Maintenance Technicians, Process Engineers, Controls Engineers, Parts Coordinator, and others. The role involves overseeing daily maintenance operations, ensuring equipment and systems function optimally and safely, and leading a team to achieve departmental goals. The manager will also develop and manage the maintenance budget, implement continuous improvement initiatives, create material flow layouts, and oversee ergonomic designs and 5S organization projects. Familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulations is required, as is overseeing machinery and equipment review, improvement, and upgrades, as well as construction and facility engineering. The position requires an understanding of Total Productive Maintenance concepts, including OEE and downtime reduction, and managing capital budgets. Collaboration with the local production workforce and leadership team is essential, as is working with other Sika facilities to generate and document Best Demonstrated Practices (BDPs).
