SPP is seeking an Engineering Intern for the Summer of 2027. This is a 10-12 week, 40 hours per week, project-based internship where interns will complete real work supporting the company's business goals. The internship is paid, and housing will be provided if needed. Team activities may be scheduled after hours, and each intern will be required to deliver a presentation at the end of their internship. Essential Functions include developing fundamental understanding of transmission system concepts and gaining knowledge of associated software, as well as competence with administrative and communication tools. Engineering Responsibilities involve completing specific assignments directed by ad hoc stakeholder/committees, transmission planning services, tariff studies, or network modeling and engineering data coordination efforts. Teamwork and Leadership Skills require providing basic technical support to help project groups meet aggressive time schedules.
