About The Position

This summer engineering internship drives insights about the UPS network of today and tomorrow. Project areas may include building quantitative logistics models and developing innovative data visualizations. Project work is matched to the intern’s skillsets, strengths, and interests.

Requirements

• Be a rising college junior or senior, graduate student, or recent graduate within the last 24 months pursuing a degree in Engineering, Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Have sufficient and effective knowledge and experience in programming and algorithms.
• Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills.
• Be able to work both collaboratively and independently.
• Be able to interact and communicate effectively across business units and with different levels of management.
• Be a U.S. citizen or national, a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytical models and data visualizations to drive analytic insights.
• Work with cross-functional teams to model current operations processes and evaluate potential solutions.
• Present data insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
