About The Position

AMETEK’s Engineering Internship is a college-student program intended to provide personalized attention and professional experience. Interns build technical expertise across a variety of business applications, work with innovative technologies, and learn from Engineering leaders. They collaborate with team members, customers, and suppliers to solve business problems. Potential engineering specialties at AMETEK include Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, Chemical, and Material Sciences. The position is located at AMETEK Wallingford in Wallingford, Connecticut.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Strong desire and motivation to develop a career as a future leader in the engineering function.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Applicants must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization; CPT and other restricted work authorization are not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Design new products, processes, and/or systems and evaluate existing ones.
• Participate in operational process improvement initiatives that affect key performance indicators.
• Work on cross-functional project teams with colleagues in Marketing, Sales, R&D, and Operations.
• Collaborate with team members, customers, and suppliers to solve business problems.
