Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) plus 2 years of engineering college or technical school
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in strain gage installation and instrumentation wiring
  • Proficient in surface preparation, strain gage measurement, and Micro-Measurements techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of metals and composite materials
  • Strong documentation and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with advanced Micro-Measurements procedures
  • Familiarity with complex testing environments and high-performance measurement systems

Responsibilities

  • Execute precise strain gage installations on aircraft and facility components made from metals and composites
  • Prepare surfaces, layout, align, and bond strain gages using industry-standard techniques
  • Apply Wheatstone bridge wiring methodology to measure torque, axial load, bending, and shear strain
  • Document instrumentation wiring and measurement data accurately to support engineering analysis
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to support ongoing flight and ground test operations
  • Maintain flexibility to work overtime, extended, and modified shifts as required for project timelines
