About The Position

At General Motors, our product teams are redefining mobility. Through a human-centered design process, we create vehicles and experiences that are designed not just to be seen, but to be felt. We’re turning today’s impossible into tomorrow’s standard —from breakthrough hardware and battery systems to intuitive design, intelligent software, and next-generation safety and entertainment features. Every day, our products move millions of people as we aim to make driving safer, smarter, and more connected, shaping the future of transportation on a global scale. Company Vehicle: Upon successful completion of a motor vehicle report review, you will be eligible to participate in a company vehicle evaluation program, through which you will be assigned a General Motors vehicle to drive and evaluate. Note: program participants are required to purchase/lease a qualifying GM vehicle every four years unless one of a limited number of exceptions applies. The EGM – Fuel Systems Engineering leads a team of engineers and technical specialists responsible for design and hardware release of fuel systems and EV brake lines. You will provide technical and people leadership to ensure robust system design, integration, and execution that meets safety, quality, timing, and cost targets. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy in a dynamic, cross-functional environment and plays a key role in shaping GM’s fuel and EV brake line strategies across multiple architectures.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, including experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and present to leadership.

  • Familiarity with GM-specific processes, tools, and standards (e.g., GVDP, engineering release systems, GMWs).
  • Demonstrated success in building and developing high-performing teams in a technical environment.
  • Experience using data, analytics, or digital tools to enhance engineering efficiency and quality.
