Engineering General Maintenance Helper (Full Time)
About The Position
The Engineering General Maintenance Helper performs basic maintenance and repair tasks related to the trades and assists higher-rated maintenance personnel as needed or directed. The role includes routine repairs and preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and support for special projects. The helper follows safety procedures, completes assignments in a timely manner, and performs other related duties as assigned. The position works in various areas throughout the resort, including residential homes on the property. Work may take place in small or cramped spaces, areas without air conditioning or with limited ventilation, and elevated areas. The employee must be able to work shifts and days determined by the Manager and may be scheduled for more than 40 hours per week as needed.
Requirements
- Driver’s license if operating a company vehicle.
- Ability to operate vehicles safely.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with employees, managers, homeowners, and guests or clients.
- Ability to read work orders and repair or maintenance manuals.
- Ability to communicate over the phone or radio.
- Ability to stand and walk during most of the shift.
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and climb a ladder to perform repair and maintenance work.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds; move furniture or appliances; and carry and load or unload tools and equipment.
Responsibilities

- Clean, sand, and oil woodwork.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance.
- Follow safety procedures and policies.
- Assist with special projects.
- Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
- Care for and clean tools and equipment.
- Keep the work area clean and orderly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
