About The Position
KCI Technologies is seeking a motivated student to join its Transportation Group for a Spring 2027 Engineering Co-op. The position provides hands-on experience in roadway design, traffic, and transportation planning under the guidance of experienced engineers and project managers. Each co-op is assigned a dedicated supervisor. The role is entry-level and requires no previous experience.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited college engineering program.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must satisfy pre-employment drug screening and background check requirements.

- GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Responsibilities
- Use engineering software to design and perform roadway calculations.
- Assist with technical reporting, documentation, and presentations that summarize design analysis and recommendations for the team and clients.
- Gather data and perform site analysis during routine project site visits.
- Assist in developing project-specific engineering plans, drawings, and models.
- Interact with the engineering team and project managers to support projects.
- Learn industry-specific best practices, codes, and laws.
- Utilize and gain familiarity with OpenRoads.
