About The Position

Compact Automation Products, part of the ITT family of companies, specializes in technical solutions for Hydraulic Cylinders, Air Cylinders, and Linear Actuators. With a wide range of sizes and forces, their products are known for being easy to repair and customizable. This rotational co-op position offers impactful opportunities in Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality, located in Westminster, SC. The program provides hands-on experience, coaching, and mentorship to develop new skills beyond the classroom, including machining, assembly, and quality control. This position requires access to information subject to ITAR, so applicants must be U.S. persons.

Requirements

Enrolled in an Engineering program with a minimum 2.50 GPA.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse and global employees, including the ability to motivate and energize.
Must have a thirst for learning and passion for solving complex problems.
Ability to work in a combination office and assembly/machining environment.
Must wear safety glasses and safety shoes.
Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).

Responsibilities

Update Manufacturing work instruction manuals.
Work with Operations Management, Engineering and Quality to investigate and capture priorities and tasks.
Use Excel and MS Word to track and update project documents.
Concept and Create 3D models, production drawings, and Bill of Materials.
Complete analysis of Customer applications and Manufacturing requirements.
Participate in product testing and product development.
Assist in manufacturing process improvement projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
