About The Position

This co-op position is designed to help students confirm their interest in becoming an Operations Engineer. Participants will be tasked with real company projects that will provide an understanding of the role and responsibilities within manufacturing. Projects will involve incorporating new machines and maximizing process efficiencies, directly impacting company results. The co-op will also receive in-depth training on Rust-Oleum's Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing Initiatives, including the Toyota Production System (5S, 8 Wastes, Quick Changeover (SMED), and Root Cause Problem Solving). Specific project areas include processing, milling, and paint making operations, focusing on equipment and process changes to improve efficiency, throughput, and safety. Additional projects may involve Lean & Six Sigma activities or efficiency and safety projects for the packaging production area.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering.
Available to work from January 2027 to August 2027.
Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, 40 hours per week.
