Engineering Co-op Student (September 2026)

We are seeking students currently enrolled in an engineering co-op (or internship) degree program, available for 4-16 month terms starting September 2026. Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a civil, environmental, mechanical, electrical, computer or related engineering co-op (or internship) degree program from a post-secondary institution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a collaborative member of a team
- Committed to building and maintaining relationships with internal and external parties
- Ability to accurately analyze information
- Experience working in a dynamic environment and able to adapt to changing priorities
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Alignment to our Cultural Commitments and Leadership Competencies

Nice To Haves
- Experience with related computer software applications (e.g. Google Workspace Applications, AutoCAD, Adobe Reader, Civil 3D, Solidworks, Microsoft Applications, Bluebeam)
- Experience with project coordination and project management
- Understanding of engineering drawings and technical documents
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence (or provincial equivalent)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a City Driver's permit
- Security clearance that is satisfactory to the City of Edmonton
- Driving may be required for City business
