Co-op Student (Degree, Non-engineering) (September 2026)

We are seeking students enrolled in a co-op (or internship) degree program, in various majors and specializations, available for 4 or 8 month terms starting September 2026. Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a co-op (or internship) degree program from a post-secondary institution
- Enrolled within the following areas of study or a related program: Business, Computer Science, Environmental Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Information Technology and Data (Mathematics, Statistics), Public Administration, Urban Planning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a collaborative member of a team
- Committed to building and maintaining relationships with internal and external parties
- Ability to accurately analyze information
- Experience working in a dynamic environment and able to adapt to changing priorities
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Alignment to our Cultural Commitments and Leadership Competencies
- Embracing a culture of equity, diversity, reconciliation, and inclusion
Nice To Haves
- Experience with related computer software applications (e.g. Google Workspace Applications, Adobe Reader).
- Experience conducting research using various methodologies and quantitative and qualitative analysis of information.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence (or provincial equivalent)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a City Driver's permit
- Security clearance that is satisfactory to the City of Edmonton
- Standard First Aid Certification and CPR Level C
- Driving may be required for City business
