About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, experienced, hands-on Engineering Apprentice to support hotel maintenance and operations. The role focuses on maintaining property grounds, public areas, and guest rooms; completing preventive maintenance; responding to maintenance requests; and identifying problems during daily rounds. The apprentice may also perform painting, replace electrical accessories, and maintain HVAC systems, along with other assigned duties. Requirements

In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry.
Basic math skills.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
Excellent time management skills.
Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods, bend, stretch, push, pull, move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery, visually inspect machines, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Hotel maintenance experience; the posting states a minimum of three (2) years is preferred.
One year of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical discipline; preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

Oversee property grounds, public areas, and hotel guest rooms.
Conduct preventive maintenance to help prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations.
Paint, replace electrical accessories, and maintain HVAC systems.
Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
Respond to maintenance orders in a timely manner.
Fulfill work orders in a timely manner.
Complete daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
