About The Position

Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club, a 357-room oceanfront resort in Mid-Beach and part of Autograph Collection Hotels, is hiring an entry-level Maintenance Engineer. The role helps keep the property in top condition by performing routine maintenance and repairs, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. The position involves maintaining and repairing equipment and fixtures across guest rooms, kitchens, laundry, convention areas, and public spaces, as well as supporting preventive maintenance and life-safety systems. The posting emphasizes hands-on problem solving, attention to detail, communication, and a willingness to learn.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

Adhere to all work order policies and procedures.
Communicate parts and materials needs to the supervisor in a timely manner.
Inform the supervisor about job and project status.
Keep adequate parts, materials, and supplies on the supply cart.
Maintain and repair equipment in laundry, kitchen, guestrooms, convention areas, and public spaces.
Repair refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical fixtures in guestrooms, kitchen, or laundry to manufacturer specifications.
Keep work areas clean and organized.
Monitor life-safety systems and respond to alerts as necessary.
Maintain and repair carpet, wall covering, furniture, and painted surfaces; replace burned-out light bulbs; perform other cosmetic repairs and preventive maintenance in guest rooms, tower, convention area, public areas, and as assigned.
Report unsafe conditions immediately.
Clean and treat food and beverage floor drains with enzymes weekly.
Complete other duties assigned by the supervisor, including cross-training.
Maintain chemical levels in automatic mechanical systems.
Maintain electrical carts.
Repair irrigation or sprinkler systems.
Attend all mandatory meetings.
