About The Position

The Engineer provides day-to-day and preventative maintenance for HOTEL PASEO, Autograph Collection, under the direction of Engineering Management. The role helps keep the hotel's buildings and equipment in good repair with minimal downtime and supports improvements to engineering services for guests and associates. The hotel operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and shifts may need to change to meet business demands.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret documents such as Lockout Tag Out materials, Safety Data Sheets, safety-awareness information, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates.
Ability to work as an independent mechanic.
Ability to analyze problems, identify a course of action, and implement solutions.
Ability to represent the company in a courteous and well-groomed manner.
Must be punched in, in uniform, and ready to work as scheduled.
Ability to use and understand hand and power tools.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, twist, and stretch.
Flexibility and a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Perform daily shift reports.
Document all calls for service and monitor and close out calls through the computer.
Follow OSHA standards and procedures.
Maintain the interior and exterior of the building.
Respond promptly, efficiently, and courteously to guest and associate requests.
Meet brand and service standards and guest service expectations.
Perform preventative maintenance throughout the facility on all equipment.
Assist with controlling costs for heat, power, light, sewer, and water.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building systems and furniture, fixtures, and equipment; air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment; electrical systems; mechanical equipment such as motors, starters, pumps, fans, generators, and chillers; plumbing and drains; and pneumatic and electronic systems and controls.
Maintain appropriate standards of conduct, hygiene, uniforms, and appearance.
Represent the hotel professionally and with decorum.
Recommend improved methods and procedures to the supervisor to positively affect guest and associate satisfaction.
Attend required Engineering Department and other meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
