About The Position

The Engineer Test (Alignment Specialist) supports alignment, measurement, and verification activities for radar and gun foundations within the Test & Trials organization. The role requires strong mathematical skills, precision measurement capability, and proficiency with technical instrumentation. The specialist performs inclination, flatness, and azimuth calculations; determines mean error corrections; and captures survey and roller path data using Excel and associated tools.

Requirements

High school diploma and 4 years of experience, or an associate degree and 2 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree or above and 0 years of experience.
Strong mathematical skills.
Precision measurement capability.
Proficiency with technical instrumentation.
Must be willing and able to work any assigned shift.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated ability to calculate inclination, flatness, and azimuth on radar and gun foundations.
Experience determining mean error and applying corrective alignment adjustments.
Proficiency in Excel for capturing roller path data, survey train information, and elevation.
Experience with instrumentation setup and operation, including a theodolite or similar survey equipment.
Familiarity with alignment processes, precision measurement practices, and test and trials operations.
Relevant technical coursework, apprenticeship completion, or military or industry experience in alignment or instrumentation.
