About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining and managing a companywide overpressure protection (OPP) records database. The role involves reviewing all OPP to ensure compliance with DOT, ASME, API regulations, and company engineering and OM standards. Attendance at PSMSA inspections is also required. The position serves as a technical resource for the selection and sizing of OPP/PSVs for various substances (natural gas, CO2, crude oil, etc.) across operations, maintenance, and capital projects. Additionally, the role is directly responsible for maintaining company engineering standards and OM procedures related to OPP utilization, as well as other company standards and procedures for asset design, operation, and maintenance. This position may be filled as an Engineer II or Engineer III at Management’s discretion, based on the candidate's experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage a companywide overpressure protection (OPP) records database.
  • Review all OPP to ensure compliance with DOT, ASME, API regulations and company engineering and OM standards.
  • Attend PSMSA inspections as required.
  • Serve as a technical resource in the selection and sizing of OPP/PSVs for natural gas, CO2, crude oil, etc. for operations and maintenance, and capital projects.
  • Be directly responsible for the maintenance of company engineering standards and OM procedures dealing with the utilization of OPP.
  • Maintain other company standards and procedures dealing with the design, operation and maintenance of company assets as required.
