About The Position

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is hiring an Engineer Supplier Mission Assurance at Level 2 or Level 3 in Chandler, Arizona. This position is 100% onsite and does not accommodate telecommuting. The role collaborates with program management, engineering, procurement and subcontracts functional management, and supplier management teams to ensure procurements meet or exceed internal and external customer requirements. It defines the Supplier Mission Assurance program within contract requirements and company policies and processes, and coordinates and oversees its implementation across all program phases.

The position follows a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off, and requires travel 25% of the time. The successful candidate will define and monitor mission assurance specifications and processes, support quality, risk management, safety, reliability, and maintainability, and assess program performance and risks to determine needed resources. The role may be filled at Level 2 or Level 3.

The primary salary range for Level 2 is $72,100–$108,100, and the secondary salary range for Level 3 is $89,400–$134,200. Salary offers depend on factors including responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may also be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus. Requirements

• Level 2: Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of professional experience, or a master’s degree and 0 years of professional experience.
• Level 3: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of professional experience, or a master’s degree and 3 years of professional experience, or a Ph.D. and 1 year of professional experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Familiarity with implementing and flowing down customer and internal requirements.
• Interdepartmental collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience with process improvement projects.
• Experience developing and working to an AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS).
• Strong technical writing skills.

• Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.

• Extensive experience with root cause and corrective action (RCCA) analysis, investigation, and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Define and monitor mission assurance program specifications and processes to support program mission success.
• Perform or assure quality, risk management, safety, reliability, and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Assess program performance and risks and determine resources needed to ensure mission assurance.
• Collaborate with program management, engineering, procurement and subcontracts functional management, and supplier management teams to ensure procurements meet or exceed customer requirements.
• Define the Supplier Mission Assurance program within contract requirements and company policies and processes.
• Coordinate and oversee Supplier Mission Assurance implementation throughout all program phases.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
