As part of this global expansion, the Boise team plays a critical role in advancing DRAM production and enabling the next generation of semiconductor solutions. The ID1 High Volume Manufacturing Shift Process Engineer drives process quality and manufacturing efficiency within a high-volume production environment. This role focuses on improving yield, optimizing throughput, resolving line issues, and partnering with cross-functional teams to meet operational KPIs and ensure successful wafer production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related engineering field
  • Flexibility to work and rotate across shifts as needed
  • In-depth knowledge of Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments
  • Proficiency in one or more programming or data analysis tools such as Python, Java, Tableau, Matlab, or Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to analyze data and make critical process decisions to support manufacturing operations

Nice To Haves

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with data collection systems, data warehousing, and data cleansing
  • Hands-on experience in data analytics, including querying databases
  • Intermediate understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes, equipment, and supporting systems
  • Demonstrated time management, organization, prioritization, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Improves process quality, yield, and efficiency while driving cost reduction and optimizing wafer output
  • Monitors and analyzes SPC data daily, resolving process issues and addressing chronic failures with process owners
  • Applies SPC, FDC, and 8D methodologies to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and improve tool availability and performance
  • Identifies and resolves or escalates yield loss risks, defects, tool restrictions, and output disruptions in a timely manner
  • Partners with equipment teams, operations leaders, and stakeholders to execute priorities and maintain accurate documentation and procedures
