About The Position

GE Aerospace is seeking a Propulsion Performance Engineer to support development and testing of flowpaths for hypersonic air-breathing propulsion systems. Based in Bohemia, New York, or Rockledge, Florida, the role is part of a multidisciplinary team that designs, analyzes, tests, and matures propulsion technologies toward flight-ready hardware. The work applies scientific and engineering methods to demonstrate the feasibility and performance of concepts, with assignments typically guided by standard procedures and routines. The engineer contributes to research and development of fluid delivery systems for hypersonic air-breathing propulsion and vehicle systems. Responsibilities include computational analysis, hardware validation, test support, technical documentation, and collaboration with internal teams, industry partners, and subcontractors. The role is intended for an early-career engineer with a strong foundation in engineering fundamentals and analytical methods. Onsite work is required in Bohemia, NY, or Rockledge, FL. The position requires U.S. citizenship, the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, and eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled information. The base pay range is $103,200–$129,600 annually, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Relocation assistance is provided. The posting is expected to close December 15, 2026.
