About The Position

This position is responsible for all aspects of pSemi products from kick-off until end of life. In order to make sure a high-quality product is released to production, the successful candidate will establish proper test and characterization coverage for new products in order guarantee product performance while ensuring cost and quality targets are met. This position will interface with Design, Characterization, Test, Manufacturing, Reliability, Applications, Foundry and Marketing groups to identify opportunities, drive projects to completion, and verify effectiveness. The assigned projects will be moderate in scope and will require this positon to exercise judgment within the defined procedures and practice to complete the projects. This position will follow instructions and apply company policies and procedures to drive decisions. Product Engineering is responsible for moving products from a proven design into production. This position will be expected to coordinate activities with other engineers working on the project. This position must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a sense of commitment and be flexible to project needs. The position must be a team player and possess a sense of urgency to meet product requirements on schedule.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Product Engineering or Design Engineering
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
• Team player with a strong sense of urgency to meet product requirements on schedule
• Background with software such as Datapower, JMP, Cadence, Matlab
• Background working with large datasets and applying statistical methods to draw conclusions

Nice To Haves

• Experience with any of the following products: LNA, Switch, Digital Attenuators, Phase Shifters, DC-DC converters, PMIC
• Hands-on use of RF measurement equipment to validate performance
• Experience with any programming language included with or similar to the following: VBA or VBScript, C, JSL, MATLAB, Windows Batch or PowerShell, Java, Python.

Responsibilities

• Ensure new products meet product development requirements prior to production release.
• Support production / Characterization / Reliability plans, support design engineering with extensive data analysis/reporting and launch new products into high volume production by evaluating reliability, properties and techniques used in production.
• Support experiments to study product performance and capabilities, analyze test and characterization data to identify performance issues or show product meets marketing requirements.
• Monitor initial product yields and quality and apply data analysis skills to drive improvements during production.
• Support review and disposition production lots as necessary.
• Help with various test time reduction efforts.
• Review any changes in production processes and how the change may impact product performance or reliability.
• Perform any necessary electrical characterization to support change qualification.
• Using guidance and input from other group members, work on failure analysis studies on customer returns or to study failure modes that impact yield.
• Based on guidance from Manager lead activities and efforts on cross functional teams; Provide technical leadership to transition new products to mass production.
• This will involve providing oversite to make sure various tasks maintain schedules and ensuring technical data meets the objectives of the project prior to release to mass production.
