About The Position

The Distinguished Engineer - Product Engineering leads development of technologies for enterprise use-case solutions on private and public wireless networks, with a focus on dynamic network slicing. The role sits within Verizon’s Enterprise Network Solutions team in Business Product Engineering and focuses on defining network architectures, driving innovation, contributing to technology roadmaps and intellectual property ideation, and establishing standardized deployment architectures across emerging areas. It researches industry trends and works with vendors and partners to recommend technologies and solutions for enterprise customers. The position collaborates with industry partners, network and technology vendors, system integrators, product teams, and customers to develop architectures aligned with product needs. It leads cross-network discussions to establish and align on architectures through network project processes and quality standards; recommends solutions and deployment architectures; develops infrastructure for testing, incubation, and partner connectivity; and designs and engineers trial infrastructure while guiding hardware and software development in line with product roadmaps. It also translates customer requirements into technology solutions, works with network and business leadership to develop cohesive, monetizable solutions, and supports continuous product innovation and revenue growth. The successful candidate brings deep expertise in end-to-end wireless architectures, including 4G/5G RAN and Core, private wireless networks, and network slicing, along with knowledge of 3GPP standards and the ability to translate standards into vendor requirements. The role calls for strategic planning, cross-functional alignment amid ambiguity, leadership in high-stakes deployment environments, mentoring, and evidence-based influence on technical decisions. This is a hybrid role with a defined work location that includes working from home and at least three days per week in the office, as set by the manager. The scheduled workweek is 40 hours.
