About The Position

Verizon is hiring a Distinguished Engineer in Product Engineering to lead development of technologies for enterprise-use-case solutions on private and public wireless networks, with a focus on dynamic network slicing. Within the Enterprise Network Solutions team in Business Product Engineering, this role defines network architectures and drives innovation for network solutions and network-slicing programs. The work includes technology road-mapping, intellectual-property ideation, and standardized deployment architectures for emerging focus areas. The engineer researches industry trends and works with vendors and partners to recommend technologies and solutions for enterprise business needs. The role collaborates with technology industry partners, network and technology vendors, system integrators, product teams, and customers to develop architectures aligned with products and customer engagements. It leads discussions with network planning, ME, engineering, and operations teams to align architectures through network project processes and meet high quality standards. The engineer recommends solutions and deployment architectures, builds infrastructure for testing and incubation, designs trial infrastructure, and manages hardware and software development in alignment with product roadmaps. The role translates customer requirements into technology solutions, works across network and business organizations to develop cohesive, monetizable offerings, and advances product innovation and revenue growth. This is a hybrid role with a defined work location, working from home and in the office at least three days per week, with the schedule set by the manager. Scheduled weekly hours are 40.
