About The Position

Join the team as a Preventative Maintenance Engineer, helping keep hotel facilities and equipment in good working order. The role includes preventative maintenance and repairs across areas such as carpentry, plumbing, and painting, responding to work orders, assisting guests, and supporting safety and efficient operations. At some properties, the role may also involve driving a shuttle van for business purposes. The property is Extended Stay America – Fort Worth – City View, a residential-style hotel serving guests staying several nights or longer. Team members support suites with full kitchens, complimentary Wi-Fi, grab-and-go breakfast, on-site laundry, and pet-friendly accommodations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver’s license for the applicable state, where required by the property.
Acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR), where required by the property.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
Trade license preferred, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs, including replacing bulbs, patching vinyl, touching up paint, and repairing furniture and tiles.
Repair and maintain ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC systems, swimming pools, and hot tubs.
Respond promptly to alarms, investigate their causes, and report findings to the Front Desk.
Respond to work orders and assist guests and colleagues professionally.
Use access to sensitive hotel areas and information responsibly, including safes, master keys, storage rooms, and secured files.
Drive safely for business when needed; shuttle van driving may be required at some properties.
